Back in January, I visited the Ocean Springs location of The Shed BBQ & Blues Joint and did a guest review on BBQ Sauce Reviews. Not long after, Fred Salinas (the digital director for The Shed) contacted me asking if I would be interested in reviewing some of the sauces and rubs. Today’s post is the first review of those products – Kinky Asian Marinade. This marinade was a first place winner in the Asian Marinade category at the 2011 National BBQ Association Awards of Excellence.

For my birthday last year, my wife bought me a couple of BBQ and cooking-related books. Up until recently, I did not take the time to really look into them. Then a few weeks ago, I picked up one of them and really started to check it out. That book is “Soaked, Slathered, and Seasoned” by Elizabeth Karmel.
