Sometimes a sauce catches your eye, and you just can’t help but try it out. So when Chris from InsaneChicken asked if I would be willing to review some of his sauces, I was very glad to do so. He sent me multiple hot sauces as well as a couple of BBQ sauces, and one of those caught my eye. And when you see the picture below, you’ll understand why as well. Let’s check out Obama’s Health Care BBQ Sauce.
Today’s review will take a look at a pair of sauces from Perris, CA, courtesy of Ira Pupko and Hog Heaven Foods. Let’s take a look at the Smokehouse and Apple-Chipotle flavors. Continue reading “Hog Heaven Sauces Review, Part I”
A month or so back, I was asked by Tim Smallwood (one of my fellow team members on Team Tucker Cooker for Memphis in May) asked me to try out his sauce and give him feedback. Normally I would try it out and give feedback without writing about it on here. Well I tried it out, and quite honestly, this is a sauce you need to know about and try out as well! This is Tiger “Q” BBQ Sauce!
Today’s review is of an eastern Carolina style BBQ sauce – Guy Parker’s Old Fashioned Bar-B-Q Sauce.
I like to keep up with various BBQ blogs around the Internet. One of those blog is The “Q” Review. Derek is constantly cranking out reviews of various BBQ sauces, rubs, and other items. He will also run the occasional contest. Some time back, he ran a giveaway that I was fortunate enough to win. The prize: Bill’s Best Organic BBQ Sauce.
About 2-3 weeks ago, my wife was out running some errands. While she was out, she called me to let me know that she had some sauce for me to review. It caught me off-guard, but I got excited when she told me who she met. Heather went to The Meat House here in Charlotte to pick up some chicken. That day, Scott from Outta the Park BBQ Sauce was there doing a demo. So now I present to you a review of a sauce that I’ve looked forward to reviewing – Outta the Park BBQ Sauce.
It’s not very often that I get to try a sauce that has not been released to the market yet. Recently I won an online giveaway to be one of the first people to try out their new sauce – Stubb’s Sweet Heat. I want to share with you my initial thoughts and impressions on this new sauce to be on the market soon! Continue reading “Checking Out Stubb’s Sweet Heat Bar-B-Q Sauce”
Normally in blog posts where I review sauces, I usually only review one at a time. However, I did at one time do a multi-sauce review. In some ways, I enjoy doing this kind of review. It’s a natural behavior for humans to want to compare and contrast product. Having said that… let’s grill some pork chops! From left to right, the sauces are: Daigle’s Sweet Habanero Rib Sauce, Nephew’s Ghostly Pumpkin BBQ Sauce, and Doomer’s Dark “Q” Sauce. Not too long ago, I did a review of the Cajun Sweet Applewood Jalapeno BBQ Sauce on some burgers. They turned out really well. So I turned my attention to another one of the offerings from Daigle Family Co. — Cajun Sweet Pecan Garlic BBQ Sauce. This sauce placed 2nd in the BBQ Blast Sauce Contest, so it’s bound to be good!
