A month or so back, I was asked by Tim Smallwood (one of my fellow team members on Team Tucker Cooker for Memphis in May) asked me to try out his sauce and give him feedback.  Normally I would try it out and give feedback without writing about it on here.  Well I tried it out, and quite honestly, this is a sauce you need to know about and try out as well!  This is Tiger “Q” BBQ Sauce!

A Home Run with Outta the Park BBQ Sauce

About 2-3 weeks ago, my wife was out running some errands.  While she was out, she called me to let me know that she had some sauce for me to review.  It caught me off-guard, but I got excited when she told me who she met.  Heather went to The Meat House here in Charlotte to pick up some chicken.  That day, Scott from Outta the Park BBQ Sauce was there doing a demo.  So now I present to you a review of a sauce that I’ve looked forward to reviewing – Outta the Park BBQ Sauce.

A Trio of Tastings: Three Sauces for your Reviewing Pleasure

Normally in blog posts where I review sauces, I usually only review one at a time.  However, I did at one time do a multi-sauce review.  In some ways, I enjoy doing this kind of review.  It’s a natural behavior for humans to want to compare and contrast product.  Having said that… let’s grill some pork chops!  From left to right, the sauces are: Daigle’s Sweet Habanero Rib Sauce, Nephew’s Ghostly Pumpkin BBQ Sauce, and Doomer’s Dark “Q” Sauce. Whenever I go to judge various KCBS competitions, I like to also go around and check out the various vendors and booths that are set up as well.  Back in October during the KCBS competition in Waxhaw, NC (read a review of it here), one of the vendors I came across was a local BBQ sauce maker — Seth Land of Southern Staple Foods.  Lucky for me, he was handing out samples of his sauce.  One taste, and I knew that this sauce was good stuff.  We chatted for a while, and he was kind enough to give me a bottle of his sauce to review.  So I present to you Proud Piggy BBQ Sauce!
