Grate Expectations: Checking Out the ManGrates

On a past blog, I mentioned that I would love the opportunity to review the ManGrates.  It was not long after that I was contacted by Dan from the company offering to send me some for review.  I emailed him my mailing address, and eventually a package arrived at my door containing four ManGrates along with a cleaning brush!  I was looking forward to trying this product out.

A Home Run with Outta the Park BBQ Sauce

On my lunch break on Friday, I stopped in at Restaurant Depot (day passes are a perk of being a KCBS member) and picked up a 2-pack of bone-in pork butts.  What in the world was I going to do with all this meat?  Why cook it, of course!  I have to have something for lunch for the next couple of weeks.  But I couldn’t just use one type of rub.  So I present to you Duelling Butts: Bigmista’s Perfect Pork Rub vs. Draper’s AP Rub!

Checking Out Bobbee-O’s BBQ in Charlotte, NC

As you may recall a couple of weeks ago, I got to meet up with my good friend and fellow BBQ blogger Wilfred Reinke as he was travelling through NC on his way to FL.  Today I got to meet up with him again for lunch.  As he had a long drive ahead of him today, I decided to meet him at this BBQ joint in north Charlotte so that he could at least shave a few miles off of his trip today.  We met at Bobbee-O’s BBQ.
