Lexington, NC was the site for the finale for BBQ Pitmasters Season 3.  This episode brought the winners from the previous 5 episodes together in the self-proclaimed BBQ Capital of the US to determine who would be the winner of the $50,000 prize as well as a spot in the Kingsford Invitational.

Unofficially Official BBQ Pitmasters Drinking Game Tally – Episode 3

Last week, the rules for the Unofficially Official BBQ Pitmasters Drinking Game were announced in time for the third episode of the current season.  As you may know already, the first five episodes will feature 15 BBQ pitmasters (that’s three per episode) competing at various BBQ festivals throughout the country for a spot in the winner-take-all season finale.  The winner of the finale receives $50,000, an invitation to the Kingsford Invitational, and the coveted title of Kingsford BBQ Pitmasters Grand Champion.  Three of the most well-known BBQ personalities are serving as judges for this season – Myron Mixon of Jack’s Old South, Tuffy Stone of Cool Smoke, and Aaron Franklin of Franklin Barbecue. Getting’ Sauced with Draper’s BBQ Live at Memphis in May

During Memphis in May 2012, we saw many different BBQ personalities.  One of those personalities was Darryl Mast of, quite possibly the hardest working man in BBQ today.  Darryl is also the driving force behind the weekly online radio show Gettin’ Sauced with Draper’s BBQ.  Darryl and Shane came up with the crazy idea to not only do the weekly podcast from Memphis in May, but to also video it.
