A trusted name in competition and backyard bbq for several years, Butcher BBQ puts out some of the best products money can buy. Would the Butcher BBQ Honey Rub live up to these lofty expectations? Let’s find out…
Smell Test: Pepper, Paprika and a hint of sweetness
Visual Test: A light red to yellowish base with specks of black pepper and glistening granules of salt and sugar speckled throughout.
On the meat: I spread a light coating on some boneless, skinless chicken breast…the perfect medium to taste any rub.
Firing up the Grill: The chicken was simply grilled on the Weber OTG.
The finished product: Looks pretty eh?
The Verdict: This is some amazing stuff that I would recommend to anyone. It may be best suited for pork or chicken as the sweetness really seems to bring out the flavor of those proteins. If you are looking for a little change of pace for your bbq, I highly recommend Butcher BBQ Honey Rub. Always trust your Butcher.
