Hope everyone is enjoying this holiday weekend! Rather than writing about another sauce or rub, I want to give a shout-out to some of my favorite BBQ bloggers and writers. Each of these people have helped me out in some form or fashion — whether it’s offering advice or providing quality writing of their own.
- First shout-out goes to my good friend Wilfred Reinke, aka the Oshawa Ogre. As a fellow BBQ blogger and product reviewer, I greatly appreciate his insight into the different products he reviews. Plus I got to meet him in person earlier this year as he made the trek from Ontario to Florida. Great guy!
- Next shout-out goes about 40-50 miles up the road from me to Cyndi Allison, author of Barbeque Master and Yes, You Can Grill. Cyndi and John Shepard (aka Sir Pork-a-Lot) were the first two bloggers I ever met. Cyndi has been involved in barbecue, grilling, and smoking for 35 years and writing online for 12 years. She has a vast wealth of knowledge of all things outdoor cooking.
- I can’t say anything about BBQ and blogging without giving a shout-out to Danielle Dimovsky, whom all of you know as the pitmaster of DivaQ. Danielle is not only a first-class BBQ pitmaster, she is also a very entertaining writer and very active in social media.
- For the final shout-out for today, it’s all about the BBQ joints. And if you need information on anything BBQ joint related, the go-to guy has to be Kevin Kelly of Kevin’s BBQ Joints. Kevin has amassed a huge database of BBQ joints and restaurants across the United States. He is also very active and knowledgeable about social media.
I know I left out several others, and for that I apologize. My plan is to highlight all of you BBQ bloggers and writers that I greatly appreciate!
